…..and a week later, here’s the rest of the story from our visit with Jeffrey’s family. Sunday morning we got up bright and early and headed to church. I have been so excited to share the experience with our family and it was a great way to start our day! After church we headed over to Stone Zoo to meet some friends of Jeffrey’s parents from when they lived up here years ago. The zoo was great and afterwards we went back to the Cameron’s house to visit and have dinner. I have to say that was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while and probably the first homemade apple pie I’ve ever seen made….or helped to eat! Meriel played with their little girl and Trey discovered some Star Wars legos in the basement to keep him occupied but he wasn’t on his own for long. Their two teenage boys played with Trey for hours and pulled out all sorts of old ships for him to play with. I was blown away by how well-mannered and good with Trey they all were.
The next day we spent the morning together and walked to a store Meriel really wanted to go to before they had to load up the van to go. It was sad to say goodbye but it helped knowing they would be back again at Thanksgiving!
