I finally finished a project I started years ago. (Yikes!) For those who don’t know (not that many of you would) I LOVE to cross stitch. It has been a hobby of mine since I was five or six. I know I’m a dork but it’s just my way of relaxing. I usually do lots of small, simple projects and most of them end up in a drawer somewhere or are decorative things I only pull out for various holidays.
Well, this one may look small but it was certainly not simple! I can’t remember the last time I did something with so many half stitches and backstitching….thus the reason I kept putting it on the back-burner for more “fun” projects. I ordered a couple of new designs this week and while I have been waiting on them to arrive I decided it was time to get this one over with! It seems silly to feel such a sense of accomplishment from a piece of fabric and some threads. Not exactly sure what I’m going to do with it at the moment but at least it will be ready and waiting when I figure it out. 🙂
And the fact that it looks crooked is more of a testament to my photography skills….not my stitching skills.
