I’m not sure how it happened but our sweet little boy turned five last week! It’s so hard to believe. We had a fantastic week celebrating Trey’s birthday. Wednesday (tax day) was the day and we celebrated by having a cinnamon bun at Panera for breakfast, a party at school, and dinner at O’Charley’s. Jeffrey’s and I wanted to go ahead and give him our gift so we gave him the Star Wars lego set that Jeffrey picked out. (His parents added to the collection) It would be nice if birthdays gifts for him could stay around $16 but I don’t see that lasting too much longer.
My parents came into town Friday and went ahead and gave Trey the bike they got for him. He absolutely loves it! The surprise on his face when he first saw it was priceless. Saturday was the big party day. We went to the park, rode the train and played, played, played. We were so please with the turnout, weather and everything really.
After the party Jeffrey’s parents came back and put together Trey’s swing set. I believe I already mentioned has been sitting in pieces since we moved. Now we just have to get it in the ground before he can use it. Poor child. It was great to have some time with Jeffrey’s family even if we were working most of the time.
Overall I don’t think the week could have been any better. Jeffrey and I were just so overwhelmed by how blessed we are to have such a wonderful, healthy and mostly happy child. We are so blessed.
